PURPOSE:To improve the performance of solid/liquid separation by menas of a flow control valve so installed to the conduit as to check changes in the pressure from affecting the upward drain passage in a solid/luquid separator designed to withdraw the treated liquid from a relatively deep point in the upward passage via the conduit and the upward drain pipe. CONSTITUTION:A donduit 10 is provided with a control valve V for handleing the flow rate control of the treated liquid in such a manner that the choking of the valve V checks the effect of accomplanying viriation in the pressure on the velocity of the upward drain passage C whenever the level of the surface of the circlating passage changes. In other words, an outer cylinder 3 is provided with a mechansim for detecting the variation of level of the surface as an electric or statistical chanhe with a poten tiometer or the like. The detection mechansim 15 and the control valve V are so linked as to increase choking. In this manner, the upward velocity in the drain passage C is controlled costantly. |
