PURPOSE:To change the damping characteristics of hydraulic buffer at will, by providing the bottom of the buffer a rotary member having a plurality of orifices different in diameter and by turning the rotary member by external operation to select an orifice. CONSTITUTION:When a piston moves down and compresses oil in an oil pressure chamber 23, the oil pressure acts to a main orifice 82. Then, a disc valve 80 is pushed down and a main oil passage 78 is opened, thereby causing a damping force. At that time, the oil flows into a space 57 through an opening 63 of a center piece 61 and then flows into a reservoir 24 through a hole 64 of the conter piece 61, a sub-orifice 58 matched therwith and passages S2, S1. A desired one of sub-orifices 58 is matched with the hole 64 by inserting a tool into an operating hole 55 of the rotary member and turning it, thereby changing the damping characteristics. |
