The floor probe is used to determine the bearing load capacity of the floor, and comprises a pressure pipe with extension pieces which is pressed into the floor surface. At the lower end of the probe is fitted a measurement cone connected to a measuring unit inside the hole of the pipe. The force necessary to press the pipe into the floor is registered on the cone and carried to the measurement unit which functions with the aid of convertors. A coupling bar (8) is fitted between the cone (9) and the measurement unit, the latter being in the part of the pipe which is not narrow. The measurement cone connects to an outer cover (10) which fits tightly around the wall of the narrow part of the pressure pipe.
