<p>A backhoe arrangement is disclosed wherein the boom comprises a pair of transversely spaced apart boom sections so that a single boom cylinder can be mounted therebetween and wherein overcenter forward movement of the boom sections and boom cylinder provide a transport configuration for the backhoe in which the center of gravity is substantially closer to the rear of the vehicle. The boom sections are rigidly interconnected at spaced points to increase the torsional stiffness of the boom.</p> |
