PURPOSE:A lubricating grease for sliding friction guide devices of ultrahigh-speed rolling stock of linear motor drive used under a wide variety of conditions ranging from low to high speeds, comprising a sulfur containing compound in such an amount as to give a specific sulfur content. CONSTITUTION:One or more types of sulfun-containing compounds selected from sulfurized fat and oils, sulfides, thiophosphates, thiocarbamates, and thiocarbonates are incorporated with a non-soap thickener, etc. to give a grease with a sulfur content of 3wt% or more. Uhless the sulfurized fats and oils are used, animal and vegetable fats and oils are preferably incorporated further. EFFECT:No environmental pollution due to scattering and flowing out of the grease. |
