: Polysubstituted derivatives of 10-piperazinodibenzo (b,f) thiepin of the general formula (I) : (I) wherein R2, R3, R7 and R8 are identical or different and each represents hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine, or a trifluoromethyl, methoxyl or hydroxyl group, with the proviso that R2 and R3 or R7 and R8 or at least three of the substituents R2, R3, R7 and R8 cannot simultaneously represent hydrogen; R represents an atom of hydrogen, an alkyl or hydroxyalkyl with 1 - 3 carbon atoms, an acyloxyalkyl with 8 - 10 carbon atoms in the acyl and 2 - 3 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, or an ethoxycarbonyl group; and m and n equal 0 or 1; and their addition salts with organic or inorganic acids are psychotropically and antimicrobially active compounds. They are useful in psychiatry and neurology.
