1520647 Computer control system INTERNATIONAL HOME SYSTEMS 29 Sept 1975 [1 Nov 1974] 39816/75 Heading G3N A computer 1, e.g. a mini or micro computer, is connected via bus 2 to devices 3 which are controlled by portable units 4 using the computer. This may be used in a house, hospital, factory &c. for airconditioning, lighting, anti theft or fire devices. Units 3 can be electric motors, thermostats, fire detectors, lights, heaters, telephones, television or cameras and units 4 can be connected to bus 2 by radio. The bus can be formed as a loop where the data travels in the same direction as in Figure 1 or as a single line 1, Fig. 2 (not shown). The bus can have power, data and control conductors, Fig. 3 (not shown) or sync, audio, video or telephone channels. Units 4 can be connected to different parts of the bus, Fig. 5 (not shown) and have a TV screen, keyboard, microphone, loudspeaker and liquid crystal display. |
