<p>Multipin plug has the pins arranged in parallel rows which on the ends remote from socket connection are provided with cable soldering tabs. To reduce the height of the plug the cable ends are led in vertically superposed manner between the rows of the soldering tabs. Tabs are carried by a support and the cable ends are bent through 180 degrees before they are laid on a horizontal face of a casing in which the cable, e.g. a telephone cable, is located. During soldering the cable ends can be located in a clamping plate which solder splashing. Plate may be re-usable and may be made from Teflon (RTM).</p> |
