PURPOSE:To decrease the axial length, by placing the axes of motor and screw compressor in parallel with each other. CONSTITUTION:The stator 2, rotor 6, rotary shaft 7 and gear 8 of the motor are provided in an upper and a lower casing 1, 5. Screw rotors 3, 4, a gear 9, etc. are placed in parallel with said stator 2 etc. The rotation of the motor is transmitted through the rotary shaft 7 to the gear 8, which is engaged with the gear 9 to transmit power to the screw rotor 3 to move the screw rotors 3, 4 engaged with each other. Gas is compressed by the motion of the screw rotors and flows into an inlet port 18 of the casing 1 to cool the coil of the stator 2. Thereafter, the gas flows into a hole 19 to cool the rotor 6. The axial length of the enclosed screw compressor is equal to only the sum of the motor length and the gear thickness. |
