The roller sledge is used on sleigh tracks which for simple operation may be braked even with a wet track and which includes a self braking system which operates with the sledge being eighter empty of full. Through brake surfaces (33) are located to the left and the right below the seat (1) with the length of the brake surfaces calculated to ensure that their front section rubs the track dry so that the rear section produces an adequate brake action. The brake surfaces have a spring bearing.
