PURPOSE:To improve the operativeness of the efficient feeder of the steel strip, etc., for the rolling mill, by connecting through two links the following guide to the lead guide, which is installed on the frame in front of the coiler, and by swinging the following guide so as to tilt and shift. CONSTITUTION:In front of the coiler 1, the lead guide 8 is installed on the frame so as to be swingable; the following guide 12 is connected to the lead guide 8 through the short link 15 and the long link 16, both being attached to the lead guide 8. In the case that the coiler 1 is underfed, and the steel strip 4 is passed from the lower side through the tension bridle roller 2, the strip 4 is guided by the lead guide 8 and the following gude 12. When the strip 4 is passed from the upper side through the roller 2, the lead guide 8 is swing and the following guide 12 is also swung by the cylinder 17; the free guide 18 is lifted by the guide plane of the following guide 12; and then the strip 4 is guided by the following guide 12 and the free guide 18. |
