Demountable tow-bar formed of axially sliding sections - has safety catches locked when middle sections are pushed home

The demountable towbar has the bar assembled from several sections slid together axially. Each end of the towbar has a coupling hook(3) to link to the vehicle. The hook is secured by a sliding safety bar(4) so that the towbar does not loosen during towing. The safety catch has an extension inside the end section ending in a flange(7) which is pressed axially by fitting the next towbar section(2). Providing the separate towbar sections are joined together the catches are securely locked.
