The peristaltic pump has a rotor consisting of satellites(S) mounted in a carrier, and held in contact with the shaft by a tube (8) forming the pump body. The tube passes through at least one turn round the satellites, its intake (A) and discharge (R) ends being opposite each other. There are one or more rolling supports (9) for the tube on the inside, between adjacent satellites. These can be in the form of rollers rotating freely on the carrier, or a ring mounted freely inside the satellites. Where the satellites are of the double type, with a central shaft over which the tube runs, the shafts and the rollers can be of conical section, sloping opposite ways.
|
