Hard-foam shells, which are subsequently fitted to the object to be insulated, are used for insulation purposes for hot-water reservoirs and hot-water pipes. In order to prevent mechanical destruction of this hard-foam insulation, it must also be surrounded by a sheath. In addition to very costly assembly, there are also disadvantages with respect to the insulation effect, for example by the formation of water condensation. This is prevented by directly foaming on a sheath (3) having a plastic foam layer (4). In this case, the insulation is designed in a plurality of parts, is fitted at the installation location and is connected again to form a unit over the object to be insulated, by means of an adhesive strip or fillet. <IMAGE> |
