A sensor (13) having two electrodes forms a galvanic cell whose electrolyte is produced as a result of the granulated sugar to be monitored being dissolved by the atmospheric humidity. After passing through the interference suppression device (14, 15), the output voltage of the sensor (13) is fed to the buffer amplifier (5). The Schmitt trigger (7) converts the analog signal arriving from the buffer amplifier output into a digital signal which is necessary to actuate the switch (16) and zero the counter (9). If there is a signal exceeding the fixed threshold value at the input of the Schmitt trigger (7), the switch (16) is in the switched-on position with the result that the pulses from the timing generator (8) reach the input of the counter (9). The comparator (11) serves to compare the output signal of the counter (9) with the preselected time-segment signal stored in the programming unit (10). If the two items of data at the inputs of the comparator agree, the signalling device (12) is actuated. <IMAGE> |
