<p>A vessel for transporting individual plants comprises an outer container made of plastic material, of suitable shape and size and having an internal step on which is fixed by thermo-welding the rim of a receptacle contg. the soil for the plant. A free space is left between the outer container and the inner receptacle. Access from the exterior to this space can be achieved by means of holes in the rim which allow water to be introduced. The water is absorbed through a hole near the base of the inner receptacle. A polyurethane retaining disc, with a central hole for the stem of the plant and a radial slot to facilitate the entry of the stem rests on the rim. The whole is completed by a transparent cover with a double step which is applied by pressure on the step in the outer container so as to exercise pressure in the retaining disc. The vessel ensures that the plant remains sound during transport, provides normal irrigation conditions and soil, is attractive, functional and can be used to contain the plant at its destination without special problems.</p> |
