Silver halide photographic light sensitive materials contg. oxonol dyes (I; R1 = alkyl, aryl, R2 = alkyl or carboxyl, n = O-2,) were obtained. These oxonol dyes have carboxylic acid ester bond in m-position of pyrazolone, or water soluble alkyl group in o-position of pyrazolone, which is different from conventional oxonol dyes. These dyes(I) have excellent spectral absorption property, and were decolorized and removed completely.
