Regenerator for oil contaminated soil - makes soil into paste followed by heat treatment and skimming of top layer to recover oil

The installation removes oil from soil which has been contaminated by seepage into underground tank installations or following a road accident involving an oil carrying tanker. The contaminated soil is filled into hopper (2) and from tank (7) fluid is added. Counter-rotating rollers (3) prepare the soil into a paste which is transported upwards and emptied by pipe (8) onto the top surface (9) of the multiple conveyor belt installation. The paste is transported horizontally along heated troughs by lateral struts (10c) moving close to the surface of the troughs but submerged under the level of the fluid part of the paste. On top of the fluid level V-shaped slates skim the oil from the surface collecting it on the sides and directing it via chutes (20) into collecting tank (24). The rest of the paste drops onto the next conveyor below and travels in the opposite direction until it is discharged free from oil into a reservoir (34).
