Tool head of lathe non-rotary tool holder - locates with conical surface on retainer bar with springs engaging in its grooves

A holder is used on a non-rotating cutting tool on lathes. It comprises a retainer bar which can be clamped in a support, and a tool head which is exchangeable and fixed in a reproducible position at its face end. The tool is arranged crossways to the retainer bar. Each tool head (6) locates on the retainer bar (1) with a conical fitting surface (5) coaxial to the bar axis. On the retainer bar (1) are two diametrically opposed springs (14) which engage in tool head grooves (15). There are two conical recesses (10) on the tool head cylindrical fitting surface, into one of which a conical screw (9) projects, the screw passing through the retainer through the retainer bar.
