<p>The indexing conveyor has reciprocating scraper plates at intervals shorter than its stroke, at the end of which they are lifted clear on the floor for the return movement. The plates (4) are rigidly mounted on a support (5), tilting on and sliding along an axis parallel to the transport direction. The plates are actuated by a crank mechanism controlling their movement so that in this direction they slide along the floor (2), and in the reverse direction are swung up clear of it. There can be a crank to the side of the conveyor with an elongated hole, in which a dog fixed to the scraper assembly engages.</p> |
