Frame (2) which partially encloses the shape of the car (10) when partially unfolded downwards; it is secured against unwarranted raising. The frame may form the bottom end of the roof, with a spring prestressing it towards the top end setting. It may be fully foldable downwards in the rest position. The roof is designed to be attached to the side of a house or to a wall. A chain (11) may be secured to the edge of the roof furthest from the wall and also attached to the side of the parked vehicle. A padlock is used to secure the chain in position.
