<p>The vibration-damping base is typically for power units and machine tools, conveyors in rollin mills etc. It is a plate-type component built up of alternate layers of compressible (4) and incompressible (5) flexible matieral adhering together. The compressible layers can each comprise several layers of cloth, and the incompressible ones natural or synthetic vulcanised rubber. The surfaces transmitting the loads can be of rubber (6) in which ribs, bosses, perforations etc. can be formed, filled with viscous pasty or plastic material.</p> |
