Between the plates of the measuring instrument there is a gap to introduce the leaf-shaped terminal contacts of a plug (15). The luminous-strip indicator (11) is placed in a rectangular recess (16) on the front side of the housing (17). It is pressed by the plug against the opposite end side of the recess. A special depression maybe provided for the plug opposite the contact end side of the luminous-strip indicator and this depression may be sealed outwardly by an end wall. The luminous-strip indicator and the plug may be flush with the front side of the housing.
