1375156 Hydrocarbonthio oxamides B F GOODRICH CO 23 March 1973 [27 March 1972] 14129/73 Heading C2C The invention comprises hydrocarbonthio oxamides of the general formula wherein R and Ra are independently hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkaryl, cycloalkyl radicals containing up to 18 carbon atoms or -SR<SP>1</SP>, and R<SP>1</SP> is a hydrocarbon radical containing up to 24 carbon atoms. The compounds are prepared by reacting an oxamide of the general formula with the corresponding hydrocarbon sulphenyl chloride which may be produced by reacting a hydrocarbon thiol having the general formula R<SP>1</SP>SH or a hydrocarbon disulphide having the general formula R<SP>1</SP>SSR<SP>1</SP> with halide gas. |
