Pressure-sensitive copying sheets, which give increased color d. and which can be used to produce a series of copies without showing any inclination to smear, are composed of 2 layers of microencapsulated color former with the 1st microcapsule layer having microcapsules of an av. size (4-500μ) greater than those of the 2nd layer (1-50μ). The 2nd layer is coated (0.2-10g/m2) directly upon the 1st layer (1-15 g/m2) and the boundary between the layers is not n abrupt one.
