AMINOPROPANOL DERIVATIVES

New aminopropanol derivatives and their process of preparation are provided of the formula (I) (I) wherein R is a lower alkyl, cyclo-lower-alkyl or lower-alkyl-thio-lower-alkyl radical, R1 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl, hydroxy-lower-alkyl, pivaloyloxylower-alkyl, lower-alkoxy-lower-alkyl, lower-alkoxycarbonyl or carboxyl radical or the radical -CONR3R4, in which R3 and R4 can be the same or different and represent hydrogen atoms or lower alkyl radicals, and R2 is a lower alkyl, hydroxy-lower-alkyl, lower-alkoxy-lower-alkyl or pivaloyloxy-lower-alkyl radical or, when R is a lower-alkylthio-lower-alkyl radical or R1 is a pivaloyloxy-lower-alkyl radical, R2 can also be a hydrogen atom and the pharmacologically compatible acid addition salts thereof; the novel derivatives as well as the pharmacologically compatible acid addition salts thereof, bring about an inhibition of the adrenogenic .beta.-recoptors and can, therefore, be used for the treatment or prophylaxis of cardiac and circulatory diseases.
