In a known type of two-channel safety control system for presses, which monitors itself for internal defects, the actual control lines lying outside a control unit may be damaged without this defect being detected. To overcome this defect the present system has a quasi- anticoincidence connection of the control lines to the control unit with respect to the two channels 10, 11.
