A cutter attachment for a compression tool includes a first cutter blade mounted on a pivot pin extending between a first pair of lever jaw plates and a second cutter blade fixed relative to a second pair of lever jaw plates. Movement of the first and second pairs of lever jaw plates towards and away from each other is controlled by an individual handle attached to each pair. When the handles of the tool are squeezed, opposed cutting edges of the blades move together to sever a cable when positioned between the cutting edges.
