Fitting for tubular lamps has an elongate, U-profile carrier with the inner side of its opposite walls shaped back; these walls receive between them a circuit plate as a push fit, carrying at least part of the electric circuit for the fluorescent tube. Preferably the floor wall of the carrier has a longitudinally-extending back-shaped rib standing upright from it between the sidewalls; a plastics tube support has units to engage the rib, to hold the support in the preset position on the carrier. The support engages the tube connections at one end of the tube, and a second similar support engages those at the other end. |
