<p>A nozzle for injecting gases into liquids contains or is formed as a non-return valve, having plug which is lifted off a seat by the gas press. and which returns to the seat when the gas pressure fails. The plug may be spring-loaded to lift at a preset gas press. The nozzle is used esp. for aeration of waste contaminated water. Ingress of water into the nozzle and gas pipework is prevented, eliminating deposits of sand, mud, etc.</p> |
