<p>The automatic item labelling machine is particularly for items aligned in containers. It has a continuous endless conveyor whose top run is accommodated in the top part of a supporting structure and receives the incoming containers with aligned items in two or more rows, which it transports to labelling stations. The latter have heads extending downwards and intercepting the items in each row so as to apply a label. A first mechanism moves each head at right angles to the travel direction of the conveyor top run, and a second one varies the height of each head. Cut-out devides a stop each head operation, and after it and above the top run is a pressure device acting against the label already in position.</p> |
