<p>A cable is secured to a reel by a clamp formed from a block having a quadrangular section with sides roughly equal in length to the dia. of the cable. A strand of the cable, roughly of the same length as a groove in the clamp block, is fatesned in the clamp by two screws. Provides a simple, economic and operationally secure means of fastening a cable end to a reel. There is no alteration to the cable reel structure in the way of making holes through the barrel or the flange.</p> |
