<p>The sports shoe, especially a skating boot, consists of an outer thermoplastic shell (1) with a rigid sole (2). The shoe is tightened onto the wearer's foot by means of flexible cables (13, 14) on each side of the shoe. Protuberances moulded on the outside of the boot, (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) guide the flexible cables (13, 14). Underneath the rigid sole (2) is a ratchet wheel (15) for tightening the ends of the cables by winding them round a horizontal axle (18). The teeth (16) of the ratchet wheel (15) engage with a retaining catch (17). A lever (19) rotates on the axle (18) and turns the wheel (15).</p> |
