The chest of drawers has, at the back of each drawer (7, 8, 9), a locking bolt (12, 13, 14), which locks all the other drawers when one of them is opened, and unlocks all the drawers when the particular drawer is closed. Each locking bolt (12, 13, 14) operated in conjunction with a clasp (15) which slides inside a fixed slide-piece (16). The clasp (15) has a number of apertures in corresponding to the number of drawers. Each bolt (12, 13, 14) has an upper and lower surface which tilt upwards. The slide-piece (16) is U shaped with the crosswise side resting against the back of the chest of drawers. The slide piece (16) has two brackets near the ends.
