Assembly system for container flexible end closures - uses holder for passage through subsequent work stations and discharged at final stage

The apparatus produces a food package container closure and comprises a holder with a mount for carrying it through several of stations. The stations include, successively along the path of travel of the holder, a supply station for a planar sealing membrane and for depositing the membrane on the holders. A subsequent station includes an overcap mountie system over the membrane accommodating holder in a manner, as to seat on the holder with the membrane received within the overcap. A final discharge station includes discharge elements for the combined membrane and overcap from the holder.
