<p>Summing and subtracting gear train has two sets of epicyclic gearing each having a sun (i, k), a planet (14, 16) and a ring gear (e, f). The sun gears are coaxial. The planet gears are mounted on a common carrier (11) supported on the hubs of the sun gears. The two ring gears and one of the sun gears (e) are connected to respective input shafts (2, 5, 1). The remaining sun gear is connected to an output shaft (8). The gear train therefore, can add or subtract three inputs simultaneously.</p> |
