The flame cutter for pipe cutting machine is guided for generating inter penetration curves for making intersecting pipes. the workpiece rotates about its longitudinal axis and the cutter is guided on a slide relative to pipe rotation. The flame cutter holder can be swivelled about an axis parallel to pipe axis. For this purpose the flame cutter is connected to actuating drive via a parallelogram scissor linkage. The parallelogram movements are generated by a rotating cam and the contoured hole in pipe wall is cut by flame cutter at the linkage end.
