Method for extracting urea from blood washing effluents or from blood liquids, whereby the liquids are treated with a solid organic material which is then separated therefrom, said method utilizing as organic material at least a compound which comprises at least an aldehyd group per molecule, in which the aldehyd groups are activated or masked at the intramolecular or intermolecular scale by a substituant bearing a proton, i.e., as applicable, -COOH, -CHO or -SO3H. The method is applicable to dialysis or ultrafiltration with semi-permeable membranes and allows a rapid and significant elimination of urea, while using a relatively small amount of organic material, without producing harmful substances.
|
