The device for cleaning teeth and gums consists of a flexible tube (2) for connecting to a water tap (1), with a nozzle (3) at the other end so that the water can be squirted as a jet into the mouth of the user. Between the nozzle and the delivery end of the tube (2) is a tee connection (4). A suitable vessel (5) containing a treatment fluid (6) can be attached to the side branch (4c) of the tee so that the fluid mixes with the water as the jet is used. An alternative design incorporates a valve and a manipulating handle.
