The combined enlarging frame and developing tray has a hinged fitting to hold the photographic papers so that the print is developed while being exposed. This enables the user to produce accurate prints without having to prepare test strips. The print starts to appear when sufficient exposure has been reached. Any subsequent exposure is onto paper which is less sensitive, being partially already developed.
