<p>A disc (1) is mounted on a hollow shaft (3). Two or more radial passages (2) within the disc have internal openings which communicate with the bore of the hollow shaft. At the periphery of the disc these passages have openings (5) which are tangential to the disc. Recesses (6) can be cut in the disc to expose the sides of the passages in which the tangential openings are made. A low pressure gas or liquid enters through the hollow shaft and flows out through the radial passages. It is discharged from the tangential openings to produce a reaction which rotates the disc.</p> |
