Coke oven charging system - using one vertical pipe between inclined pipe sections and joined by swivel joints

The charging pipe system of a coke oven battery consists of a middle vertical pipe with an inclined pipe joined to its top and leading to the coal feed. Another inclined pipe joins the vertical pipe to the various charging holes in the ceiling of the oven battery. This system has a low overall height and can be used to serve a greater number of charging holes from a single set-up of the coal feed.
