An infectious developer of high half-tone dot quality and shelf life of several weeks was prepd. The developer contains CH2O-NaHSO3 50, Na2CO3. H2O 55, and HN(CH2CH2OH)2 18.1g/1 as essential combination, and Na2SO3 3.0, boric acid 7.5, hydroquinone 22.5, and KBr 1.6g/1 were added. Lith film was developed by exposing through a 150 line magenta contact screen, contrast 12.5, dot quality (fringe width) 10μ, and changed in sensitivity after 3 days 0 log E VS. e.g. 3.0, 28μ, and-0.9 log E for a developer contg. 2.5g NaOH/1 instead of Na2CO3.
