<p>Pharmaceutical compositions comprising, in unit dosage form, from about 0.5 mg. to about 100 mg. of a compound of the formula I wherein R and R' are hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, R1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl of 1 through 3 carbon atoms, R2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl of 1 through 3 carbon atoms, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, nitro, trifluoromethyl or lower alkylthio of 1 through 3 carbon atoms, and the pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, in association with a pharmaceutical carrier. The process is the administration of the above compositions to humans or animals at a dose of from about 0.01 mg./kg./day to about 2 mg./kg./day for anti-anxiety or anti-depressant effects.</p> |
