PURPOSE:To inhibit electronic flash light emission automatically according to a photographic state and conditions by switching and selecting one of two programs which include control regarding the emission of electronic flash light by a selecting means. CONSTITUTION:This camera is equipped with a 1st program which has a step wherein an aperture value and a shutter speed are determined according to a photometric value from a photometry means and it is decided whether the electronic flash light is emitted or not according to the photometric value and a 2nd program which inhibits the electronic flash light from being emitted regardless of the photometric value and determines the aperture value and shutter speed according to the photometric value. When the flash light is necessary for photography, the 1st program is selected to decide whether or not the stop and shutter speed are controlled and the electronic flash light is emitted according to the photometric value from the photometry means. When a photographic scene is sufficiently bright or when a subject is at a distance, the 2nd program is selected. In this case, the electronic flash light emission is inhibited and in this state, the aperture value and shutter speed are determined according to the photometric value. |
