<p>A strip of warp-knitted fabric, resistant to bending across its width, is prepared for a belt intended for trousers or a skirt. The resistance to bending is increased by providing a curved shape, conferred by the heat treatment of tensioned yarns. The curve or contour is produced in opposition to the possible flexing effect. The strip provides a bowed effect which is stable and permanent, and withstands the transverse folds which usually form during wear.</p> |
