The maintenance kit (1) is for utilisation in the on site cleaning and degreasing of hydraulic components and is of partic application to civil engineering plant. The kit comprises a portable case incorporating a tank of cleansing solvent with alternative jets and accessories. A contoured plastics foam layer (11) above the tank locates a spray-pistol (5), alternative pistol nozzles, membrane filters (7) for the pistol, sealing strip (8), pincers (9), and a spanner (10) for use on the nozzles. A flexible pipe (16) connects the pistol to the tank and alternative nozzles may provide flat (4), or conical (6) jets. An air coupling (13) with manometric control (14) may provide for the pressurisationu of the tank by gas-bottle and a safety valve (15) may be incorporated.
