The box erecting machine has a conveyor which advances the blanks in the direction of their fold lines, and a device to fold the outer panels along these lines. Two parallel beams are adjustable according to the blank dimensions to be positioned on the fold lines, folding guides being mounted as beam extensions. The guides slightly diverge towards their free ends, each carrying a freely mounted pulley. The guides are held parallel by a tension cable, trained over the freely mounted pulleys, the cable being anchored the total distance between the anchor points and around the pulleys is constant when the beams and guides are adjusted. |
