The surface of an object is heated and its temperature measured, and the speed of the energy source movement and its power are changed in accordance with the measurement result. The object heating surface (1) is divided in elementary sections (21-2n) and deviation signals (Qi) for their specified and measured temperature are produced and stored. Then a correction (delta vi) for the source (4) speed (vi) and power are produced. Correction signals of the energy source speed are converted in corresponding signals which change the energy source (4) speed (vi) on its specified path (3).
