<p>The electric motor is sealed against ingress of liquids and gasses and constructred using P.C.B. techniques. The motor has shallow depth and is normally used in vehicles for ventilators, automatic windows etc. where the change in temperature due to the motor dissipation can cause pressure changes likely to rupture any overall sealing. The casing is in two halves (13, 14e held together by a permanent magnet (17) sealing being achieved by an annular deformable ring (22) trapped within a groove (21) in the mating surface of the cover. The groove depth is chosen to be slightly less than the sealing ring diameter.</p> |
